Sometime between now and tomorrow evening, I have to go down into the basement and clean out our storage closet and fully clean my bicycle. The floods of the past weekend caused a sewage backup in the basement of the building, so the entire laundry room, the bike room, and all of the storage closets were floating in about 18inches to 2 feet of sewage water and fecal matter. This will mean a large amount of the stuff in our storage closet will need to be thrown out. I’m just hoping that the large green plastic bin that contained a lot of the more delicate stuff was sealed tightly and didn’t have any cracks or places where leaks could have gotten inside. Kristin’s heading to Home Depot to pick up cleaning supplies.
I think we’re going to have to trash our Christmas tree.
