I just started riding the Metro North as part of my daily commute to work back in August. I buy the weekly pass at the beginning of each week, but on any given week, they only check my ticket about 3 times.
So, I’m starting to think it is game-able. I could buy daily ride tickets and only use them when they check and spend less. But, if they suddenly check more than 3 times a week, then I start losing money.
