Here’s a pic of my temporary [[[Asus Eee PC]]] that I received today and already sent back to NewEgg. It’s incredibly small and I was super-excited about it, but after it got past this original boot screen and I launched Firefox for the first time, it became clear that there was something wrong. At first the fonts looked a little off as if the resolution wasn’t set correctly. I loaded Mahalo and a few other sites to find that the colors were all sort of reversed and shiny. I tried reinstalling the software and resetting the thing to factory settings. Sean Percival played with it a bit and tried tinkering with the BIOS, all to no avail. It was clear it was a faulty LCD, so I sent it back.
Anyone else had problems with defective ASUS Eee PC units?
