Once again some state politicians are trying to pass Breed Specific Legislation. Please help me fight this. I know this is short notice, but you need to send out emails, faxes, and or phone calls today, THIS MORNING. The committee hearing for HB 4213 in Illinois is today at 2:00 PM. There is still time to have your voice heard! Call this morning or email or fax. The reps will most likely check messages during their lunch break.
If you need a sample letter, here is a really good one:
Dear Representative:
I cannot support any of the language in HB 4213 and ask YOU to NOT support it. I do endorse and ask that you support Rep Bolands HB4238 bill and consider dropping the word ‘UnAltered’ and make it ‘All’ dogs. (The word UnAltered will prejudice Conformation Show Dogs and Breeding Stock with communities and Insurance Companies) .
