We’re heading off on our honeymoon (finally!) on Saturday. I’m really excited about the trip and in need of the time off. Needless to say, I won’t be updating this blog next week.
I just checked the weather both at Kauai and Maui, and it’s looking pretty nice. Upper 60s at night and upper 70s / low 80s during the day. Maybe a little rain on Sunday, but for the most part sunny. Also, the allergy advisory indicates that I won’t have any problems.
We’re having our bathroom redone in order to end a two year cycle of us leaking intermittently on the downstairs neighbors, so as a bonus, we will return from our honeymoon to a nice new bathroom in the apartment.
Also, a bit on the scary side: a coworker had emailed me earlier this week saying to have a good time but to watch out for sharks. I just talked to her a few minutes ago, and she reiterated the well-wishes and the warning. Turns out she knows someone who was bitten by a shark on her honeymoon. Yikes! (Of course, the fact that my coworker knows both me and this other person probably statistically increases my chances of not being attacked by a shark; right?).
