Check this out:
offers iPod trade-in program. PowerMax Computers is offering a
trade-in program for iPods, as noted in the Your Mac Life forums. The
program is targeted to current iPod owners who want to upgrade to the
new models introduced on Monday.

Here’s more of the details: “Send in a 5GB iPod and you can get US $100
off a new model.
The company offers $150 for a 10GB model and $175 for a 20GB iPod. Buy a
new iPod from PowerMax Computing at full price, they sent it to you, and
give you up to 10 days to ship them your old one.” That is brilliant! Looks like I might actually be getting a new
iPod in the nearer-than-I-thought-but-still-a-little-distant future.
$150 off a 30GB iPod makes the sucker $350 and in the realm of
super-small portable firewire harddrives. Makes the expense a little
easier to rationalize…
