Sample The Web

Here’s my
newest testing movie (1.2MB) using the iSight. Instead of using
Quicktime Broadcaster, which has proven to be very buggy (audio and video
don’t seem to want to match up), I downloaded BTV Pro, which is a
great shareware product that everyone should own. As you can see, the
quality is noticably better, even after I compressed the file through
QuickTime, exporting to the DSL medium preset. Color is still a bit off,
but it looks like it, as with most film/video, is all in the lighting.
If we were on stage at a Keynote or in a well-lit area in Paris, I’m sure the quality would be even
better. I’m liking the iSight more and more. Used it to make several
voice calls to my friend Jason in Spain over iChat AV. Hopefully, he’s
going to grab a webcam of some species or another over the weekend, and
I’ll actually be able to check this thing out for the purpose it was
intended: video conferencing. More later…

shot at home in natural
light and recorded using BTV Pro. Very nice. And
less that a MB this
time!!!
